Ledger Nano X hardware wallet

Ledger's Bluetooth button signer with a battery, so it works with an iPhone as well as Android and desktop. Around £90 on Amazon UK.

Ledger Nano X hardware wallet

The Ledger Nano X is the Bluetooth version of Ledger's classic button design. At around £90 on Amazon UK (October 2026) it looks like the Nano S Plus, with the same 1.1-inch screen and two buttons, but it adds a battery and Bluetooth. That makes it the cheapest Ledger that works with an iPhone, and the one to choose if you sign transactions away from a computer.

It is sold by Ledger itself on Amazon, rated 4.4 stars from nearly 5,800 reviews.

What it does well

  • Works with iPhone, Android and desktop. Bluetooth and a built-in battery mean you can pair it with the Ledger app on a phone, with no cable. On a computer it also connects by USB.
  • Keys stay offline. Private keys are generated and kept inside a certified Secure Element chip and never leave the device. Bluetooth only carries transactions to be signed, never your keys.
  • You confirm everything on the device. The address and amount appear on its screen and nothing is signed until you press both buttons, which protects you from malware on the phone or computer.
  • Genuine Check. The Ledger app confirms the device is authentic during setup.

Things to know before buying

  • It is the same small screen as the S Plus. Checking a long address means scrolling across several screens. If that bothers you, the touchscreen Nano Gen5 or Flex are easier to read.
  • Bluetooth is optional. If you would rather keep the device off the air, you can leave Bluetooth off and use it by cable.
  • Batteries age. A built-in battery wears over the years in a way a cable-powered device does not. For a wallet that sits in a drawer and is only used from a computer, the cheaper Nano S Plus does the same job.
  • Your 24-word recovery phrase is the real backup. Write it down offline, never photograph it and never type it into a website. A steel backup such as the Trezor Keep Metal works with any standard 24-word phrase, including Ledger's.
  • You only need it as a signer. The Ledger app offers buying, swapping and staking. None of that is needed to keep your keys safe, and it is not what we recommend the device for.

Which version?

  • Onyx Black (the one linked here) and Pastel Pink (B0DJWJ1V7F) are the same device at the same £90 (October 2026).
  • Backup Pack (B0B986CZQ2, £127): a Nano X and a Nano S Plus together. It is useful if you want a second signer set up with the same recovery phrase as a spare, and it costs less than buying both separately (£142). The three-pack of Nano X devices is rated much lower on Amazon and is not one we suggest.
